The 8th Circle - Three years before The Siren When Mistress Nora, newly separated from her lover Søren, encounters a sexy newcomer at the 8th Circle it is lust at first sight. But when their session is cut short by Kingsley Edge, Nora vows to seduce the gorgeous submissive, even if it goes against all of Kingsley's orders.
The Last Good Knight is an Original Sinners novella told in five parts.
Part I: Scars and Stripes
Part II: Sore Spots
Part III: The Games Destiny Plays
Part IV: Fit to Be Tied
Part V: The Last Good Night
Part One: Scars and Stripes
It’s lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She’s happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they’re all in danger….
“What do you want to do, Sailor?”
“Anything you want, Mistress. Anything at all.”
Famous last words.
Taking place 3 years before The Siren, Mistress Nora is back at home in the 8th Circle when a sexy stranger catches her eye. In true Nora fashion, she approaches Lance, an ex-Navy Seal, and the sparks fly.Lance is sexy, sweet and a submissive. For Mistress Nora, Lance is the perfect distraction for the evening. But just as things are getting good between them an attack on a fellow club member cuts the evening short.
Funny, sexy and suspense all in 31 pages, Scars and Stripes leaves you wanting for more.
Part Two: Sore Spots
With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora’s bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he’s on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL’s noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she’s trying to forget….
“Don’t tempt me,” he said closing his eyes.
“I have to,” she whispered, her fingers tracing the strong line of his jaw. “It’s my job.”
Picking up where the first installment left off, Nora and Lance’s budding relationship is put on hold when Lance is hired by Kingsley to protect Nora. For them it means no sex until the threat against the members of the 8th circle is neutralized. As Lance shadows Nora from client to client he starts opening up to Nora about his life. Not only does the sexual tension between Lance and Nora grow, but they find themselves forming an emotional bond as well. Because Lance takes his job seriously and refuses to put Nora at risk, Nora goes to the only man she could want more.
The ending of Part Two left me quivering in anticipation.
Part Three: The Games Destiny Plays
Shocked to see Nora’s bruises, Lance is furious that she put herself in danger and demands to know where she got them. As Nora confesses her true nature, she’s equally shocked to learn that Lance has some secrets of his own, drawing them together despite Kingsley’s orders….
“I’m a damn good Domme, aren’t I?”
“You are. I can’t picture you kneeling in front of some jackass man.”
“He’s not a jackass. Even when I’m standing I might as well be kneeling.”
“Because…he’s eight feet tall.”
When Nora goes to Søren to relive some of her tension, Søren isn’t one to disappoint. But unfortunately for Nora, Søren not only strips her body, but her heart. Not only do you see Nora battling with her feelings for our favorite blonde sadist, but also for Lance, the sexy, sweet, submissive that leaves her aching for more. But matters of the heart are put on hold when the attacker makes his way to Nora’s dungeon.
Part Three is my favorite installment so far! The relationship between Nora and Søren is so complicated but so simple. You really feel the depth, love and respect these two have for one another despite the circumstances.
Part Four: Fit to be Tied
With her feelings for Lance warring with her recent encounter with Søren, Nora returns to Lance’s bed and finds herself toying with the idea of…toying with him on a permanent basis. But after she gets a glimpse into his personal angst, Nora realizes she has the power to rescue this white knight….
“She expected him to say Please kiss me or Please fuck me. Either wish would have been immediately granted. Instead, in a voice low and hungry he whispered, “Please make love to me.”
With the attacker finally apprehended, Nora and Lance are finally free to be together. With her heart on her sleeve, Nora entertains the idea of keeping Lance around permanently. Not only is their chemistry off the charts but the feelings she has for him are growing immensely. But a few complications stand in the way.
The connection between Lance and Nora really shines in this one. Lance is a true gentleman.
Part Five: The Last Good Night
Now that the perpetrator has been apprehended, Nora sadly acknowledges she doesn’t need a bodyguard anymore. She adores Lance and wants to keep him but is faced with a dilemma if she uses her connections to help Lance, she’ll have to give him up forever…
“She hoped he’d leave bruises on her, bruises on her body to match the one on her heart.”
The last installment of this novella is where the Nora we all have come to love really shows the true grit of her character. Despite being able to possible keep Lance for her own, Nora sacrifices her heart so that Lance will have a chance to regain the one thing he wants most.
Tiffany Reisz continues to wow me with her ability to detail true intimacy. While there is plenty of kink, a few laughs, and some interesting situations, the true value comes from the heart these characters possess, the sacrifices that they make, and the love that fuels their actions. The Last Good Knight is worth every penny and is the perfect distraction until The Saint comes out.
