Two addicts. One epic love story.
Prepare for the worst.
That’s what Lily and Lo try to do when Jonathan Hale schedules an “important” meeting. The problem: after being swept into the public eye and battling their addictions, they’re not sure what the worst is anymore.
In a sea of many changes—including Ryke & Daisy living with them—Lily realizes that the best part of her fluctuating hormones might just be the worst.
Her sex drive is out of control.
Loren knows that she’s insatiable, but he’s not giving up on her. She’s too much a part of him. And as he carries more and more responsibility, some of the people that he loves doubt his resolve.
In the conclusion to their love story, Lily & Lo stand side-by-side to fight, one last time, for their happily ever after.
Due to the 2-year gap between Addicted for Now (Addicted #2) and Addicted After All (Addicted #3), you must read Thrive (Addicted #2.5) or the Calloway Sisters spin-off series before reading Addicted After All.
Addicted After All Playlist
These are the songs that inspired us while writing Addicted After All. Some reminds us of the characters, but most we listened to as we were writing the books.
THE THEME SONG
“All Comes Down” by Kodaline – This song has the same tone has Addicted After All. It’s uplifting, emotional and very bittersweet, which reminds us of Lily & Lo’s love story throughout most of the series. And these lines: Why do I feel so old?/Cuz I’m still so young always get us every time. Lily & Lo have been through so much but they really are still very young.
THE AAA SOUNDTRACK
“I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) Covers Vol. 1” by Sleeping At Last – One of the best covers we’ve ever heard. This song (in general) is so LiLo but added with the bittersweet melody, it’s easily perfection.
“Mess is Mine” by Vance Joy – During emotional Lily and Lo moments we’d play this one.
“Hard Time” by Seinabo Sey – This one we listened to during Lo’s POVs, mostly with Ryke and Jonathan Hale-centric scenes.
“Like Real People Do” by Hozier – Lily and Lo feels! So many. Lyrics: Honey just put your sweet lips on my lips / We should just kiss like real people do
“Outro” by M83 – We cry almost every time we listen to this song. The final chapter of the book we were bawling like babies. This is what we listened to while writing it.
“In My Heart” by Moby – We listened to this while writing the epilogue. Lily & Lo feels were super strong. More tears.
“There Goes Our Love Again” by White Lies – All the Lily & Lo feels. We’ve been listening to this throughout the entire series for them.
“Say My Name (Feat. Zyra)” by ODESZA – So this song was really fun to write with. Anytime there was an upbeat scene, we’d put this one. (Mostly for Lily POV).
“Flashed Junk Mind” by Milky Chance – The vibe is very Lily & Lo. And the lyrics are them as well: When we were young souls / On the junk-yard / Now we are stunned minds / Full of junk-goods / But I feel your heartbeat / Just like mine / I feel your heartbeat / All the time
“Young and Free” by Sucre – Any time there was a Daisy-focused scene in the book, we’d turn this song on. Thanks to Jullie for recommending it!
“Sheep in Wolves Clothes” by Little Hurricane – Another Lily and Lo song. It’s one of those epic romance songs, and if you watch the music video, you’ll understand why.
“High Ball Stepper” by Jack White – We listened to this one during intense moments. It became the perfect soundtrack music while we wrote.
“Beggin For a Thread” by Banks – It has some moody vibes that remind us of Loren Hale. We wrote with this song during some of his POV scenes.
“White Lies” by Max Frost – The lyrics aren’t necessarily LiLo, but the tone of the song really fit Addicted After All. It’s one of the reasons we loved writing with it.
“Fury Oh Fury” by Nico Vega – We were having trouble with the first chapter, but when we listened to this song, it inspired us and everything just clicked.
“Cardiac Arrest” by Bad Suns – We consider this something Ryke would listen to on his iPod, so we liked playing this during some group scenes while we wrote.
“Mistaken for Strangers” by The National – We played this song during a particular scene between Connor & Loren.
“Come a Little Closer” by Cage the Elephant – the lyrics in this fit really well for a certain part of the book, and you could catch us listening to it a bit throughout.
“Someday” by LP – just yes to this one 🙂
