Do you remember your first love?
I have a special guest with me today that will enlighten us about his first love.
Ladies, meet Emerson from Unbroken
Hello Emerson, thank you for stopping by My Book Muse!
I am so happy to have you here today!!!
Thanks. I don’t really like talking about myself, but Juliet said I should talk to you, and I guess I owe her one. Or a hundred.
Q. Tell us a little about yourself?
Well, I was born and raised here in Cedar Cove.
I have two younger siblings — a brother, Ray Jay, and my sister Brit. My dad took off after I was born, and my mom’s pretty much always been a mess, so I’ve been the one to look out for them. They’re all grown up now, but I guess something’s kept me here in town all the same.
Q. Why do you think Melody wanted to tell your and Juliet’s story?
I guess there’s something about that idea of first love and how it lasts that a lot of people can relate to. Sometimes you can’t let go of the past, no matter how much you think you need to move on. When you fall in love that hard, the way Juliet and me did four years ago, well, that kind of love changes you, and there’s no getting over it, no matter how hard you try. And believe me, I tried.
Q. And how do you think Juliet will feel about this?
She’ll be cool with it, I hope. I know this has been a crazy, emotional time — she spent a long time pretending like that summer never happened, and I don’t blame her. I f*cked things up back then, and hurt her pretty bad, so for her to come back to Cedar Cove after all these years… It’s a big deal for her, and I don’t think she even realized at the time all the drama that was about to go down.
Q. Well Emerson, you certainly are handsome and could get probably get any girl you want! What made Juliet different from other girls?
OK, I have to say more? Well… I’ve been with a lot of girls, I’m not proud of the way I acted, especially after Juliet left town. But nobody I’ve ever met made me feel even a fraction of what I felt for Juliet. She’s special, she understands me like nobody else, and the sex… God, whenever we’re together, she makes me lose my mind.
At first, I figured her for just some spoiled summer girl, but there’s so much more. She understands what it’s like, to try and keep your family together, and be scared of making the same mistakes your parents did. She’s brave, and beautiful, and breaks my f*cking heart when she smiles…. Is that enough?
Q. Any regrets?
Everything. The way I hurt her, four years ago, breaking her heart to make her leave town. I had my reasons, but still, it’s haunted me every single day that I could hurt someone I love so much.
Now just a few random questions!
Q. Favorite song?
I’m into country, and rock n roll. The Kings of Leon – Use Somebody
Q. Describe your perfect date?
Heading out on my boat, dropping anchor, killing time 😉
Q. What do you find sexy in a woman?
Passion. That look Juliet gets in her eyes, when I know she wants me and can’t help herself… it drives me wild.
Q. Boxers or Briefs? 😉
::starts fanning self::
Q. Favorite memory?
Aw, that’s private. But let’s just say, I’ve got fond recollections about Juliet’s darkroom… 😉
Thank you so much Emerson for stopping by!
And thanks also go out to Melody Grace for allowing me the chance to meet that sexy, passionate man 😉
