Inspired by Jamie @ The Perpetual Page-Turner’s Save The Date feature, The Premature Connoisseur is a feature to spotlight and get the word out about books I’ve read that are more than a month away from release.
Let’s be honest….
I have no self control.
I have no self control when it comes to requesting arcs (Advance Reader Copies) that sometime are not set to release 6+ months from now. I have no self control when it comes to waiting till closer to release day to read them. While this is not a bad problem to have, I hate having to wait months to review and sing my praises. The Premature Connoisseur is my way to get the word out about these must-read titles without reviewing prematurely. Hopefully my lack of self control can help other readers find new books to add to their ever-growing TBRs.
Here are just a few of the books I have devoured ahead of schedule…
In His Shadow by Tiffany Snow
Recommended for: Romantic Suspense junkies, fans of the Kathleen Turner Series
Release Date: December 16th 2014
What’s the word? It’s been a few months since I’ve said goodbye to the Kathleen Turner Series and it’s a loss I’ve felt deeply. It’s one of my most recommended and most favorited series of all time. Thankfully, Tiffany Snow’s upcoming In His Shadows helped to fill that void. It’s exciting, sexy and is relevant to some of the stories we’ve heard in the media lately. I couldn’t contain my excitement and read this in one sitting! Be sure to check back around release day for my full review.
Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven
Recommended for: Fans of sexual tension, witty banner, & second-chance romance
Release Date: December 23rd, 2014
What’s the word? If you ask Santa to bring you any books this holiday season, Bad Romeo, should be the first one on that list! This is one of the most refreshing, hilarious, and sexiest books I’ve ever read. 5% in I laughed my ass off three times. 20% in and I needed a cold shower. When I finished I strongly debated reading it again. It was that good. I rarely fangirl but I cannot help myself. This is required reading. Check for my review around release week!
Falling Away by Penelope Douglas
Recommended for: Redemptive heroines, hate-to-lust/love-you, fans of the Fall Away Series
Release Date: January 6th, 2015
What’s the word? Penelope Douglas hit one out of the park with Jax and K.C.’s story. K.C. hasn’t always been the most likable of characters but she shines in Falling Away. And Jax? If you weren’t curious about him in Bully, and completely intrigued in Rival, you are crazy. Besides this being another steamy read from Ms. Douglas, it’s also one of the most emotional. I was blow away by the depth and feeling in this story and cannot wait to talk about it with others. Review coming closer to release!
Have you added these to your TBR? What book are you most looking forward to? Leave me a line in the comments!
