The seventh work in the New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling series that started with the Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player novels. Featuring all the Beautifulcharacters...plus one tiny new addition to the group.
In Beautiful Stranger , finance whiz Sara Dillon met the irresistibly sexy Brit, Max Stella, at a New York City club. Through the series we’ve watched them learn to balance commitment with their less than private brand of playfulness. In Beautiful Beloved, Max and Sara take it to the next step. But the question is: Will they be able to find a balance between the wild sexcapades they aren’t ready to retire, and the demands of parenthood that come along with their new Beautiful bundle of joy? Parenthood: it’s not for the weak of heart.
“I miss seeing you lost in me, and unapologetic about it.”
This novella made me pregnant. Er..it made me want to get pregnant? I’m not sure. I’m a little fuzzy right now with all this Max Stella lust running through my veins. This little peak into what Max and Sarah are up to after having their baby girl, Anna, was an awesome snow-day read. I never thought that pregnancy, or the after effects, could be sexy. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but sexy? I guess Max Stella made a liar out of me cause it totally was.
“I did this…I made her this way.”
Maybe that’s why I’ve always been drawn to Max the most out of the other men in the Beautiful Bastard series. He is a raw kind of man. Seeing how turned on he was over what Sarah’s body went through with motherhood was hot. Plus, seeing him as a daddy? Swoon. But Beautiful Beloved was also very funny and sweet. I have no idea what it’s like having kids but I can imagine that what Sarah and Max go through as they balance the roles of being lovers and parents is something many first-time parents go through. I really really enjoyed this novella, especially the appearance of the next bastard to the series, Max’s brother Niall!
