From the New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy—a story of friends, love, and lust.
Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.
“He’s built like a man who works with his hands, has a sense of humor drier than the Sahara, and the thing that gets him off more than anything in the world is giving you orgasms. What a nightmare.”
Dirty Rowdy Thing is yet another amazing book by Christina Lauren that I can add to my favorites list. It is no surprise that I loved Ansel in Sweet Filthy Boy. I was nervous how Finn would stack up because Ansel stole my heart away. I knew as soon as I started reading that I had nothing worry about. Finn and Harlow hold their own. I read Dirty Rowdy Thing in one sitting. It was funny, sexy, and un-put-down-able.
“I’m not sure if being with Finn is an escape, or a new dangerous obsession.”
Although we just saw brief moments of Finn and Harlow in the first book they left a lasting impression and I loved them immediately. Finn is kind of rough; a man with edge. Harlow is a fixer. She is the glue that holds her friends and family together. On their own, Finn and Harlow are interesting characters but together? They are perfection. While Mia and Ansel’s kink was role play, Harlow and Finn’s kink involves ropes and rough sex….and let me tell you, it was so hot! Finn is so quiet in public but in the bedroom he is so talkative. Harlow needs a man like Finn to take her away from all her worry and responsibilities. What starts out as just really good sex between these former spouses turns into something more and the results are worth reading.
“He could only do rowdy because he felt what I felt: that whip-crack unleashing that comes when you meet the person who frees you.”
Honestly, whatever Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings are selling, I will be buying. Their characters are so different from one other. You don’t get the same story from each book. They manage to blend sex and humor and heart and Dirty Rowdy Thing is no exception. I loved that this was told in duel POV, something that was missing with Sweet Filthy Boy. Knowing what Finn was thinking and feeling added depth to this story. And Harlow? I just loved her. The relationship between her and Finn was sexy but so sweet. Also the fact that Mia, Ansel, Lola and Oliver make appearances in this book made it that much better. I am even more anxious for Lola and Oliver’s story. I love this series and cannot wait for more!
